The programme is developed by WDA, in consultation with tripartite partners including the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), the National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and the Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF).

What are its objectives?

The objectives of SPUR are to:

  1. Cut Costs and Save Jobs ¨C SPUR helps companies to manage excess manpower and reduce retrenchment;

  2. Reskill and Upskill ¨C SPUR helps local workers including those retrenched, upgrade skills and convert to new jobs; and

  3. Build Capabilities for Recovery ¨C SPUR strengthens our manpower capabilities to better position our workforce for the upturn

 How do I apply for SPUR¡¯s enhanced funding support?
¡¡

There is no need to apply for SPUR. It is automatically applicable for WSQ and national certifiable courses conducted by SPUR Training Providers.

Companies who wish to upgrade their staff can approach any of our SPUR Training Providers directly, depending on their sectors.
